Terms for customer contracts
1. All monthly and serial cards are for personal use only
Smart card
All our monthly and serial exercise services are downloaded into a smart card (4€) and are to be used within a year (365 days) of purchase. 1-month card is valid for 30 days, 3-month card for 90 days and 6-month card for 180 days, starting from the first day of use. By placing your smart card on the entrance gate smart-card reader or on the multiple choice terminal, you can get into the gym, group exercise classes and swimming pool area without having to sign in at the customer service stand.
2. Using the services
You are free to use the services you have purchased in all Urheiluhallit Oy centers, as well as in Mäkelänrinteen Uintikeskus Oy and Vuosaaren Urheilutalo Oy. In case you want to try a service that is more expensive than what you have already purchased, we will charge a small extra fee for it.
3. Swimming bonus
You can use the swimming pools and sauna for free after workout in all Urheiluhallit Oy centers. In Mäkelänrinteen Uintikeskus we charge a 3€ extra fee and in Vuosaaren Urheilutalo 2€ extra fee.
4. Payment
We accept cash, bank cards and credit cards (Visa, MasterCard) Sporttipassi card and Ticked Mind & Body card. You can also pay with Smartum’s Liikuntaseteli and Liikunta- ja Kulttuuriseteli vouchers or Saldokortti, Luottokunta’s Virikeseteli or RS-kuntoseteli Oy’s Tyky-kuntoseteli vouchers. You can also purchase exercise services on our website through Suomen Verkkomaksut Oy, by using your netbank access codes. In addition, we offer billing contracts for our corporate clients.
5. Calendar holidays and summer break
We do not compensate the days we are closed, such as calendar holidays. We will, however, compensate the time we are closed in the summer for those who have a monthly card and have not used it during this time at any of our other centers.
6. Leaving your card on hold
1-month or serial cards* cannot be left on hold. If you have a 3-month card*, you can leave it on hold once and a 6-month card* twice, for a minimum of one week. You should note, however, that all exercise services have to be used within a year (365 days) of purchase, including the possible period(s) the card has been left on hold. When you want to restart using your card, we will compensate the time it has been on hold at any of our customer service stands.

7. If you lose your smart card
We expect you to inform us immediately if you misplace your smart card. We can terminate your existing smart card and replace it with a new one with your downloaded services (cost 4€).
8. Gift certificate
Gift certificates are for one time use only and cannot be exchanged for money.
9. Discount policy
All discounts are given off our regular list prices and cannot be combined with other offers or discounts.
10. Illness, residence relocation and service changes
We will handle matters concerning illness (minimum of 7 sick days), residence relocation (minimum of 50 km) and service changes case-specifically. We will charge an office and handle fee (9€) in case of refunds and service changes.
11. Cancelling a course reservation
If you need to cancel your reservation for an exercise or swimming course, you need to do it 3 weeks prior to the start date. You will need a doctor’s note to get a refund if you cancel your reservation any later than this. You will receive a cancellation confirmation into your email as well as into your customer account. We will charge a handle fee (9€) from this transaction.
12. Solarium
A solarium card is for personal use only. It is to be used within a year of purchase and cannot be left on hold. The age limit for the solarium is 18 years.
13. Age limits
In order to swim alone, children who cannot swim or are under the age of 10 need a chaperone who is at least 15 years old, with swimming skills. Children under the age of 10, who can swim, need a written consent from a guarding to swim alone. Children over the age of 7 use gender appropriate locker rooms. Additionally, the 20 and 50 meter swimming pools are only allowed for those who can swim at least 25 meters.
To ensure the safety of our clientele, the age limit for the gym and group exercising is 15 years.
General guidelines
Using your smart card
To get through the entrance gate, you need to place your smart card on the smart-card reader. When a green arrow appears on the reader, you are free to go through the gate. If you have more than one exercise service downloaded into your smart card, you need to select the service you want to use at the multiple choice terminal or you can come to the customer service stand and we will do it for you. When you exit the gate, you again need to place your smart card on the reader or at some gates you will need to insert your smart card into the slot next to the reader. The gate will return all monthly and serial cards after you insert them, only 1-time cards are not returned. If you have a serial card you can also use it to pay for your friend’s visit. For this you need to come to the the customer service stand. Additionally, after you have registered on our website and gotten a password from our customer service, you can pay exercise services, make reservations and cancellations easily online.
Swimming lessons
You can sign up for swimming lessons at our customer service or online www.urheiluhallit.fi/varaukset. (You will receive a password when registering, and if you have forgotten your existing password, we will replace it). NOTE! If you are signing up your child/children for swimming lessons, to ensure the reservation you will need to add their information into your account when registering. All swimming lessons need to be paid upfront.
Courses
You can sign up for courses such as water running, tehostartti, juoksustartti, Sievisen opit etc. at our customer service. Some of the courses are also available for sign up on our website (aikataulut). If you are signing up your child/children for swimming lessons, to ensure the reservation you will need to add their information into your account when registering. All courses need to be paid upfront.
Customized gym programs and personal trainer service
You are entitled to a free of charge customized gym program if you have purchased a 3 or a 6-month gym card. In turn, if you have purchased a 3 -month super card the price includes one and a 6-month super card includes two personal trainer sessions.

Reserving
a class
All of our classes have limited attendance. To ensure a place in a particular class, you should reserve it beforehand. You can do this online at www.urheiluhallit.fi /varaukset (Reservations) but you will need a smart card into which you have purchased that particular exercise service beforehand. (You will receive a password when registering, and if you have forgotten your existing password, we will replace it). You can reserve classes up to 8 weeks online, with a maximum of 30 classes. You can reserve a regular place in a group exercise class of your choice. With a 20-visit card you can have a regular place in a class for the fall or the spring term, whereas with the 40-visit card you can reserve two places for the fall or spring term or a place in one class for the whole year. Furthermore, with a 3 or 6-month group exercise or super card you can reserve a place in a particular class for the duration you have paid for. All classes can also be reserved by phone or by visiting one of our customer service stands.
Arriving to class
You should arrive to class at least 10 minutes beforehand or your will lose your reservation. You can get in to the pool area 45 minutes before water exercise classes start.
Cancelling a reservation
If you cannot participate in a class you have reserved, you should cancel it preferably the day before, or at least 3 hours before the class begins.
Exception dates
We will inform you if classes are cancelled due to calendar holidays or if there are changes in the group exercise schedule.

Payment
- You can buy our exercise services online through Suomen Verkkomaksut Oy, by using your Netbank access codes.
- By purchasing an exercise service, a binding contract is formed between the customer and Urheiluhallit Oy. To confirm the payment, you must return back to Urheiluhallit Oy website after completing your Netbank transaction. The purchased exercise services are valid only for the duration given in the receipt.
Prices
Value Added Tax is included in our prices.
Accuracy of Account Information
The customer is solely responsible for the accuracy and content of all information submitted to us. Urheiluhallit Oy is not responsible for any inconveniences due to incorrect customer information.
