Face yoga

This course focuses on strengthening the muscles of the face with the goal of improving your natural facial posture into a relaxed yet lifted and balanced state.

The exercises begin from the soles of the feet and progress through the knees and pelvis all the way to head alignment and gaze direction. You will learn to become aware of your breathing and understand the connection between your face and the rest of your body.

We practice in front of a mirror, using facial muscles in a way that expressions such as smiling and surprise help lift and tone the face naturally.

Face yoga courses are held at Töölö. Instructor: Anne Kolehmainen.

The course is suitable for anyone interested in their appearance and wellbeing, as well as for those experiencing neck tension or headaches, and for professionals who use their voice extensively, such as performers.

You will learn the basics of face yoga and receive practical tips for continuing the practice independently. Regular practice can help brighten your appearance, improve facial posture, reduce puffiness, wrinkles, and double chin, while relaxing facial muscles and relieving tension in the head and neck area. It can also support better voice use and clearer articulation.

The class will leave you feeling warm, but not sweaty.

What to bring:
Comfortable clothing, a water bottle, a small clean soft towel for the face, and hand sanitizer.
